The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) got underway earlier this week in Detroit, and we we're excited to see that one of the most exciting concept cars at the expo belonged to Buick.

Last night, it was announced that the new Avista concept was chosen for the EyesOn Award for Design Excellence. With sweeping proportions, and uninterrupted body lines, the Avista gives an impression of movement, even when standing still. Additionally, the 2+2 interior flows seamlessly from front to back, and features elegant trim, sleek accents, and a widescreen instrument panel with touchscreen controls.

“Design has always played a large role in Buick's rich history and recent success,” said Bryan Nesbitt, executive director, Buick Global Design. “The Avista concept has been a labor of love by the team of designers, sculptors, engineers and talented craftspeople, including our UAW partners, who created this beautiful statement of Buick design. Avista represents the future essence of Buick design.”

This is the second year in a row that Buick has earned EyesOn recognition. The Avenir concept took home the award in 2015.
